Attention Students: Do you have items to be donated as you move out?For finals and senior week, a large gray storage unit is in place beside Parsons. Please leave usable items outside the dumpster or beside the storage unit as you move out.

Donations will be sent to EVE and a local grade school. EVE is a not-for-profit that supports victims of domestic violence and their children. They relocate and support victims and will need furniture, household items, cleaning products, kitchen stuff, clothing, etc. One of the local grade schools will be taking school and office supplies for their students who can't afford them-paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, etc.

We'll also donate unopened foodstuffs and items like shampoo. Used textbooks are shipped overseas to impoverished schools by Efollett, the bookstore company. Don't forget to toss recyclables into the yellow recycling trailers.

Please help these items avoid the landfill by going to local organizations that can really use them. Thanks!

Who gets to go?
Approximately 20 students will be attending this program free of charge. There will be a competitive application process to select the 20 participants from Marietta College. We will be asking for students to apply once we return in the fall. We will also ask for faculty nominations.

How much does it cost?
Again, the program will be free of charge!

What is LeaderShape?
The LeaderShape Institute is highly regarded as an intensive and energizing six-day program which is open to any participant interested in producing extraordinary results while also developing a commitment to lead with a high level of integrity.

The program content of The LeaderShape Institute reflects key leadership issues of vision, partnerships, integrity, and results. In addition, all participants leave The Institute with a “LeaderShape Breakthrough Blueprint” The LeaderShape Breakthrough Blueprint is a well conceived vision and plan of action for the participants to implement back in their organization, department, or community.

As well as being an opportunity to develop skills to improve their organizations, participants praise The LeaderShape Institute as a time of great introspection. The week is structured so that participants first gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their own strengths and weaknesses, ultimately enabling them to be more effective leaders in their organizations and on campus.

We also have a large number of LeaderShape alum here on campus. If you would like to talk with a student who has participated in the past, let me know!

Who do I contact if I have questions?
Please let us know if you would like any additional information.
